WEST-CENTRAL AFRICA DIVISION SECRETARIAT ADVISORY
From the 4th to the 8th of May 2016, the Secretariat of the Division held their Advisory at the Headquarters of the Institution located in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. All the participants from all the Unions of the Division gathered to plan their activities and define new orientations and perspectives for the new quinquenium 2015-2020. For this occasion, guest speakers were invited right from the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s Headquarters USA, and from the North America Division, Pastor Hensley Moorooven, Associate Secretary and Doctor Bryant Alexander. By the sides of the participants and their guests, one could also notice the presence of Pastor Kingsley Anonaba, the Executive Secretary of the Division.
The theme of this gathering was ‘’ Touch the World, Touch Africa.” For four days, all the secretaries had the occasion to exchange on important issues that would allow them improve in the quality of their services in order to further the Lord’s work. It is on this concern that the speakers stressed in presenting the Strategic Plan that fits in for Africa during the next five years to come. Outlining the major ideas leading to achieving this project, Pastor Hensley appealed his colleagues to more seriousness and dedication as they go about their daily activities guided by the Spirit of God.

2. Share the Strategic Plan based on the African views
Assist the different entities in order to conceive their own Strategic Plan in accordance with the theme of the Advisory; Touch the World, Touch Africa.
During this meeting, emphasis was also laid on the role that plays a secretariat in the process of achieving the Mission, having as objectives to bring out some relevant issues regarding the profile of the position and share some vital advices on how to be a competent Associate or Assistant Secretary.
On Friday 6th of May 2016, all the participants went to visit Yamoussoukro, the Administrative Capital City of Côte d’Ivoire before putting an end to their meeting on the 8th by the presentation on the Statistic Report by the Assistant Secretary of the Division, Pastor Selom Sessou.
