A two-week evangelistic campaign held in Accra, Ghana in July 2016 has ended with the baptism of 749 new members.
Twenty (20) people were baptised after the first week of evangelism and the remaining on July 30, 2016.
Sermons were delivered from 73 sites in addition to the main campaign ground at Odorkor, a suburb of Accra, which had over 1500people attended every night . At the end of the two weeks, 189 people were baptised from the main campaign ground while 560 others were candidates from the additional sites dotted over Accra and Tema, two major cities in Ghana.
The campaign, named ‘Bible Truth Evangelistic Lectures’ and led by the Executive Secretary of the West Central Africa Division, Pastor Kingsley Anonaba saw over 600 non-adventist visitors attending night after night .
The efforts of the Small Groups in the local churches, according to Evangelism Director of the South Ghana Conference, Pastor Chris Lambert, accounts for the massive turnout of non-Adventists.
“Since April over 1500 small group members visited with and studied the Bible with community members and then invited them to church to listen to the messages. This should be the way forward for all campaigns,” Pastor Lambert said.
Mame Serwaa Agyei, a 17year old girl was all smiles as she stepped out of the baptism water and expressed her joy, “I feel blessed.
