From the 8th to the 14th August 2016, the city of Bouaké witnessed a special event. Indeed this locality hosted the 2016 National Camp Meeting of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Côte d’Ivoire organized by the Conference.
This gathering has been very rewarding and even provided great blessings for all the participants. The theme of the Camp Meeting "Make my home a little corner of Heaven" was well presented and developed by Pastor and Mrs. Sessou, special guests speakers of the occasion. These two speakers ministered unto the participants on issues related to family matters. For Pastor and Mrs. Sessou, each member of the family, (the father, the mother and the children) needs to take his or her responsibility to make the home a true corner of Heaven creating peaceful environment and bringing in harmony.
This gathering recorded almost all the employees and Directors of Departments of the West-Central Africa Division and their Administrators Pastor Elie Weick Dido, the President, and Elder Emmanuel Manu the Treasurer this institution.
God’s children were really blessed during this camp meeting because of the lectures that were given. On Friday evening, to enter the holy Sabbath hours Pastor Ewoo, used by God's Spirit admonished the audience by calling their attention on how to receive the Holy Spirit and live a sanctified life.
For the divine service, Pastor Costa, Director of the Communication Department, General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists Church, who came for the Communication Advisory, held in Abidjan from the 10th to 13th August 2016, preached a sermon in which he talked about the power of the Word of God. According to the Pastor, we need to trust and believe in the creative and powerful Word of our Lord because it is that Word that shows us the way to Heaven and gives us the strength to overcome the world. More than 5000 people attended this Camp Meeting.
