Health Ministries Department World Advisory 2016
The General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church held its usual Advisory in March 2016 for all Divisions' leaders and their head of Departments. This meeting took place in Maryland, USA and gave opportunity to the Church to plan for the quinquennium (2015-2020). Like others, the Departments of Health Ministries from all Divisions and their leaders from the General Conference, gathered from the 13th to the 17th of March 2016 in Maryland for their advisory.
The Health Ministries Advisory was held at the General Conference Office at Maryland (USA) from March 13 to 17, 2016. The General Conference Health Ministries Team led by Doctor Peter Landless and the 14 Health Ministries Directors from the 13 Divisions and MENA (Middle-East North Africa Union) met to pray together, to share their experiences and to adopt a common vision in the context of the “Reach the world” strategic plan for 2016-2020. The program comprised devotionals and prayer sessions, presentations, comprehensive health ministry toolbox sessions, and a boat excursion to the Potomac River. The program ended with the Holy Communion Service supervised by Pastor Abner De Los Santos (Presidential Advisor), Pastor Mark Finley, and Doctor Peter Landless. The theme for 2016-2020 is: Every Church a Center of Hope & Health and Every Member Sharing Wholeness & Serving All.
The Health Ministries Advisory was followed by a meeting on Comprehensive Health Ministry, Health Expos & Mission Training at DoubleTree by Hilton Laurel from March 18-20, 2016. Various initiatives for the accomplishment of the mission were shared:
