A two week Global Mission Pioneers workshop has been held at Kukuruantumi to train fourteen volunteers for evangelism.
Pastor Nii Lante Thompson who led the programme said, the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is supporting Conferences and Missions to train evangelists who can break into un-entered areas.
''The programme is to take the mission pioneers through personal, literature, and child evangelism, so that members will be well equipped with Biblical truth they can share with others effectively.'' Pastor Thompson said. He was hopeful that by the close of December trained pioneers will have a group of people that they will be studying the Bible with.
Fourteen participants attended the workshop, two representatives from the seven (7) Conferences and Administrative Units under the Southern Ghana Union Conference. These are South Ghana, East Ghana, South West Ghana, and Mid-South Ghana Conferences. Other are the Volta Administrative Unit, Accra South East Administrative Unit, and Western North Administrative Unit. Isaac Asurogya Nkunim a Volta Ghana participant shared his experience, ‘‘I have learnt a lot about personal evangelism, how to get to homes and get to the hearts and minds of people and win them for Christ’’.
Ebenezer Morgan from the South Ghana Conference also added that, the workshop has helped him to know how to share the message to the dying world. “I have learnt how to approach people in a way that they may accept the message.” He also thanked the leaders for such training given them, and he hope it will be fruitful.
