WEST-CENTRAL AFRICA DIVISION
DEPARTMENT OF PLANNED GIVING AND TRUST SERVICES ADVISORY, 26TH TO 29TH OF JUNE 2016.
The Department of Planned Giving and Trust Services organized its Advisory this year from the 26th to the 29th of June 2016 at the headquarters of the West-Central Africa Division in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Attended this meeting Pastor James BADU, Director of the Department of Planned Giving and Trust Services, Pastor Dennis R. CARLSON and of course the representatives of the ten Unions of the Division except those from Western Nigeria Union Conference, Northern Ghana Union Conference and West Africa Union Mission.
After the opening ceremony, led by Pastor BADU head of the hosting Department of the Division, Pastor Dennis CARLSON from the General Conference admonished participants and Division personel to brotherly love as recommended by the Lord. For the Pastor, love should be the basis of all human relationships because it makes us true children of God ready to transform not only our immediate environment but also the world.
During the four days of the meetings, the guest from the General Conference invited all to live a life that shows that one is expecting the soon coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by practicing true love.
The objective of this Advisory was to exhort all guests to more determination and involvement as they go about their duties to improve their work in the Division’s various fields.
Then, Pastor BADU laid emphasis on the training of Directors of the Unions and gave them the necessary tools to reach the goals of the quinquenium 2015-2020. To this, he added the appropriate methods of the Department which will allow all the Unions to be equipped for victory in their respective fields.
The Advisory ended on Wednesday 29th of June in the afternoon and all participants rejoiced of the spirit of cooperation that prevailed during these four days of training and exchange.
