‘‘Sharing Christ’s Hope at Km36’’
BIRTH OF ADVENTIST BELIEVERS
One of the visions of the Guinea Mission Station is to cover the whole capital city Conakry with churches through evangelism. It was toward the accomplishment of this vision that many projects were written to the higher institution, the General Conference to Global Mission. Guinea being a country located in the 10/14 windows, three of the sent projects were accepted and financed by the GC. These are:
1-‘‘Sharing for Km 36 Christ Hope’’
2-‘‘Sharing the Good News – Sonfonia’’
3-‘’Sharing for Kaporo Muslims Project’’
Begun early in 2014 for some and in mid-year for the other, these projects attest of the hope they will bring to Guinea in the 10/14 window in view of covering this Muslim populated city with Adventist churches.
A land was purchased for the project, ‘Sharing for Km 36 Christ Hope’’ and with a building on it. This building serves today as a worship place of the evangelists and a dynamic company of wonderful men and women who have discovered the truth on Jesus Christ the Savior of mankind but also the truth about the day of worship, the Sabbath. To confirm the fact brought by the evangelists François Goromou and Célestin Saa Kondiano on the field, and to be able to report to you, a visit was paid to Km 36 by the mission director and the Secretary-Treasurer. It is here ascertain that 15 persons of both sex without their children meet and worship the Creator God. An interview with some members preparing for baptism showed their determination to follow Jesus their personal Savior. To encourage the group 15 chairs a table and 4 hymnals were offered for every Sabbath worship.
We would like to show our gratitude to the Almighty God for these precious souls who have come back to the fold. Glory be to the one who said: ‘‘therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’’ Matthew 28: 19, 20.
